Description
What You’ll Do
You will be part of the core engineering team at iKVA, developing, maintaining and operating iKVA’s SaaS platform. Our platform is deployed using Helm charts and Kubernetes to assemble components that ingest and index data from a range of sources, for querying by extensions embedded into third-party tools and customer workflows. We currently use a range of programming languages, primarily Rust and Python for platform components and React for extensions.
Of course, as part of a small dynamic team doing early-stage product development, flexibility is key and you may end up doing things that extend your comfort zone. As part of a young and growing company, this is a great opportunity to make your mark defining and developing new software to enterprise level quality as well as helping select and specify the tools, technologies, and processes we will use in future.

We are looking for someone to join our team who:

Skills and Experiences
Required
- Solid experience as a software engineer, with a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality code at speed
- Fluency in Rust or a “Rust-like” language (e.g., C++, C, Java, OCaml) plus the ability to pick up new technologies and languages quickly and effectively
- Experience in working with agile/lean startup development methodologies
- Desire to be a role model for less experienced team members, actively mentoring other developers to constant improvement
- Effective communicator, able to articulate epics, stories and tasks to fulfil product requirements and enable engineering delivery
Desirable
Please note that we really do mean “desirable” and not “required” for these skills! If you can evidence all of these, we would of course love to hear from you but please do consider applying even if you cannot!
- Fluency in more than one other programming language including Python
- Experience developing within a CI/CD environment, including defining and implementing testing and software QA processes
- Experience writing code for deployment to cloud environments, with Azure, Kubernetes clusters, Helm charts, Argo CD all particularly relevant
- Experience coding against other SaaS APIs such as SalesForce, SharePoint, GSuite
- Experience in performance engineering systems for both high throughput and low latency
