Company background
SATAVIA applies data analytics and cutting-edge atmospheric science to make aviation smarter and greener, leveraging high-performance-computing to accomplish our mission of cutting aviation’s climate impact by 60% (or 2% of all human climate impact).
SATAVIA leads the field in aircraft contrail prevention, enabling eco-conscious operators to drastically reduce per-flight climate impact by eliminating harmful surface warming and quantify achieved climate benefit. Compared to multi-year timelines for other green aviation solutions, SATAVIA’s technology is a unique example of low-hanging fruit in the battle to decarbonise aviation.
SATAVIA is in the process of growing a team of exceptional people, combining talent in atmosphere and climate science, aerospace engineering, and full-stack cloud software and data-engineering.
We are now looking for passionate and motivated individuals to join our expanding team. Based in our Cambridge office, you will become part of a fun and highly collaborative environment, combining innovation, team spirit, and commitment to expand the art of the possible in green aviation.
The opportunity
As the first Sales Engineer in SATAVIA, you will contribute to building the foundations for the sales engineering function and contribute to the company’s future growth and success. The market for SATAVIA’s DECISIONX:NETZERO contrail prevention platform is growing fast, and the opportunity to bring on new partners and customers is growing every day!
As Sales Engineer, you will play a significant role in supporting SATAVIA’s sales function, driving new business revenue through building and developing channel partners, and managing and closing deals with some of our most significant and high-profile customers.
This is a world-wide role, with no company, industry or region out of bounds! We have a truly disruptive technology and great product market fit. Our market opportunities and commercial model continue to evolve almost as fast as the technology itself. Consequently, you will need to be able to thrive within a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
You will ideally have experience of supporting the sale of complex software or technology products into the aviation industry, or other highly regulated environments, and will be familiar with building, developing and nurturing deals through channel and other indirect routes. The ideal candidate will be interested in helping SATAVIA expand and mature through the introduction of new ways of working and the application of experience learnt elsewhere.
