Description
Forefront RF is a start-up developing an innovative RF component that drastically simplifies modern RF Front-End architectures used in mobile phones. Forefront RF is seeking a talented RF Test & Characterisation Engineer to help to optimise the RF Front End solutions by means of extensive data gathering and analysis. The RF Test & Characterisation Engineer, a key role inside the development team, also manages the lab environment and ensures lab equipment is calibrated and assists in the equipment procurement.
Main Responsibilities
The RF Test & Characterisation Engineers main objective is to perform module design validations, which enables the optimisation of our RF Front End Modules. This is achieved by extensive data gathering, analysing the data and feeding back the results and delivering conclusions to the rest of the development team. Other responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing evaluation test boards
- Development of RF test plans
- Selection, implementation and maintaining test equipment
- Recommending new test techniques and technologies
- Automation of RF test setups
- Analysing and troubleshooting RF test equipment
- Summarising and creating performance reports, improve report automation
- Equipment calibration
- Ordering of components and other usables
Requirements
- Deep understanding of RF testing
- Knowledge of radio architectures and performance metrics
- Experienced in using lab equipment, including: Spectrum Analysers, Network Analysers, signal generations, load pull systems etc.
- Programming skills C#/python or Matlab/Labview
- Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
- Good communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work independently
