Technician
Team – Engineering
Location – Cambridge, UK
Contract – Full-time, Permanent

Forefront RF is a start-up developing an innovative RF component that drastically simplifies modern RF Front-End architectures used in mobile phones. Forefront RF is currently expanding and is now searching for a Technician to support our RF Engineers with proto/test board assembly (soldering), functional testing, debug hardware issues, and rework.
Main Responsibilities
- Installing new tools equipment and perform functional testing to ensure proper operation
- Perform assembly tasks using hand and electrical tools
- Perform component level and board repairs and component replacement
- Assist engineering staff in designing, testing and analysis of RF devices
- Perform repetitive RF testing
- Maintain the lab-benches, prototype component stocks, and tools, keeping them organised and clean
- Ordering tools, consumables and equipment at various suppliers
- Equipment calibration
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of RF, electronics and ESD procedures
- Automation/test integration experience is a plus
- Basic computing skills including good skills with Microsoft Office
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and desire to work in team-oriented culture
- Good manual soldering and desoldering capabilities with small SMT components
- Ability to work with compound and sterozoom microscope equipment
