Physicists at TTP work on the development of new technologies and products for global blue-chip companies and ambitious start-ups. In this role you will build on the ongoing activities of the Sensors and Devices Group in haptics, medical diagnostics and environmental sensor development using optics, ultrasonics, microfluidics and microfabrication technologies. Joining the team will give you the opportunity to access TTP’s brand new microfabrication cleanroom, laser process lab and metrology suite to expand your technical skills.
You will tackle an array of complex and challenging technical tasks in a world-class multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers. Physicists at TTP contribute at all stages of technology development including invention, mathematical analysis, computational modelling, prototype design, laboratory testing and advice on manufacturing. Our physicists become all-rounders who can quickly grasp new ideas, solve our clients’ most challenging problems and communicate solutions clearly and with authority.
The scope of the role extends beyond technical development, evolving over time to include project leadership and the prospection, sale and delivery of complex technology developments. Physicists develop practical experience in identifying markets and potential clients, uncovering valuable opportunities and helping clients to turn ideas into products. The Sensors and Devices Group is a small but growing group and new members will have the opportunity to help define and develop the group’s expansion into new technology and market areas.
