The Team:
Illumina’s EMEA Corporate offices are based at Granta Park, Cambridgeshire. Becoming a part of a large Inside Sales team Illumina you will be working in a fast-paced, EMEA wide role where you will be engaged in a variety of projects and as a forward thinking business, where we actively promote internal progression, we are able to offer individuals a genuine career development platform.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Performs other duties as assigned. All listed tasks and responsibilities are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodations for additional tasks and responsibilities.
Preferred Educational Background:
Genetics, microbiology or a related degree strongly preferred. MS or Ph.D. degree in genetics or a related field a plus.
Preferred Background:
A successful track record in sales including sales management and a proven successful track record in managing sales operations or related commercial roles in a highly technical industry is strongly preferred. A good working knowledge of genomic sciences / advanced life sciences is highly desirable.
Track record of outstanding performance in creating, expanding and managing new departments and business functions and delivering strong ROI on departmental budget allocations.
Ability to quickly develop expertise in highly technical products/services, optimally match them to customer needs and successfully execute sales in a highly competitive sales environment.
Successful in filling roles, identifying/recruiting talent and managing/motivating staff for maximum productivity and commercial impact. Must be able to drive high-level performance from a sales team over an extended time period.
Ability to effectively communicate and influence internal and external audiences, using both oral and written communication/presentation skills. Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills. Excellent time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
Highly motivated and successful individual who can build and maintain a positive, challenging and dynamic work environment for all departments under management.
